As a LEED Gold-certified venue, with 25% of its energy sourced from solar power, the centre is designed in harmony with its surrounding environment and local biodiversity. Every initiative reflects our deep commitment to protecting natural resources and preserving Oman’s legacy for generations to come.

Each year, we donate over 1,000 meals to the Oman Food Bank, reducing food waste and supporting one of the country’s leading charities.
Our 5-star catering partner, JW Marriott Muscat, is implementing several sustainability solutions, from innovative composting methods to being the first hotel with a fully automated Water Bottling Plant and comprehensive waste recycling programmes. In 2025, the hotel was recognised among 16 properties achieving the prestigious WTTC Hotel Sustainability Basics certification, after being awarded the Green Key Award.
Sustainability at OCEC is powered by our people. Our cross-departmental Green Team drives many of our eco-initiatives from the ground up, from installing new office bins for waste segregation to raising awareness on recycling and helping local contractors implement better waste management practices onsite.
