Oman’s unique geographical location, overlooking key international and regional sea lanes, and the existence of well-established Omani ports, open new horizons for investment and trade in the region.
As part of the Oman Vision 2040, Agricultural modernization and rural farm development are key pillars of Oman’s Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries Wealth & Water Resources’ Sustainable Development 2040 Strategy. The Sultanate aims to attract sustainable investment and promote the export of Omani non-oil goods and services that support Oman’s ambition for growth and prosperity, through new regulations to support this goal, as well as massive investments in key sectors.
Agriculture and fisheries are two of the key priority sectors for investment under the government’s economic development plan, Oman Vision 2040. These sectors are expected to be net contributors to Oman’s economy.
Part of Vision 2040 is the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Sustainable Development 2040 Strategy, which aims to develop, invest and implement ecologically and viably sustainable programs and projects to boost farm production and food processing.
