Department: Live Events
Reporting To: Sales Manager - Live Events


Position Purpose

Generate profitable international and regional business sales for the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre through an effective sales process and targeted activities, while providing administrative support to the Live Events Sales Team to achieve set targets.

Position Requirements

Education  
  • Business Degree – international business or hospitality.
Experience & Skills  
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of database management.
  • Understanding and experience in executing telemarketing activities.
  • Ability to prepare and present reports.
  • Solid understanding of and ability to use the internet effectively.
  • Accurate and efficient work practices.

Specific Responsibilities’ Standards
  • Promote and represent the services and facilities of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) during sales calls, trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Manage the results and activities of the Government and Corporate Sales Department.
  • Submit client quotations, proposals, and hiring agreements.
  • Drive, develop, and maintain close relationships with corporations and government entities by identifying key organizers in each establishment for meetings, conferences, and exhibitions, and establishing a rapport with them.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with event organizers.
  • Maintain client database and utilize the EBMS system.
  • Prepare and submit sales activity reports to the Director of Marketing & Comms and Live events following sales calls.
  • Assist in the production and collation of data for the monthly report, including market intelligence and client feedback.
  • Support the Director of Marketing & Comms and Live events in preparing the Department's annual Business Plan and Budget.
  • Conduct presentations to government and corporate clients.
General Responsibilities’ Standards
  • Develop effective relationships with OCEC management and staff, the Owner, government representatives, business associates, clients, and third-party consultants through appropriate communication and a positive attitude.

  • Participate in training as directed by the OCEC General Manager
  • Perform other duties as directed by the direct manager.
